We are Sumilayi, a Finnish developer and manufacturer of hair products specializing in curly hair. We started manufacturing our first highly popular product , Sumilayi Leave-in hair conditioner, in 2017.

Our priorities

Product functionality is a priority in our development. We've worked hard to get quality ingredients into our product range that work best for curly hair. We constantly research the ingredients we use and update the information according to the latest research results.

Every raw material we use is vegan and not tested on animals. Our products are Curly Girl method approved.

Science and naturalness to achieve the best result

Our product family is based on moisturizing curly hair and maintaining well-being; that's why we use the best moisturizers from nature in our products, such as a avocado oil, shea butter, aloe Vera juice a and grape seed oil. We combine functional science and naturalness to achieve the best result.

Our oils are 100% natural, our other products have plant-based synthetic raw materials combined with organic raw materials. This is so that our products are as effective as possible - certain ingredients are made cleaner, more uniform and safer using synthetic methods.

To guarantee shelf life, we use the most researched and proven preservatives. You can read about each ingredient we use here . We do not use mineral oils, harsh chemicals, sulfates or silicones in our products. We choose only raw ingredients that promote the well-being of our customers' hair.

Sumilayi is a Finnish family business. We manufacture our products ourselves in Espoo, Kivenlahti.
